You're Gonna Need This

We got a pretty big range of options to work with for this assignment. One character had to hand the other something (of our choice) and we had a choice of audio for whether they reacted happily, sadly or were unsure.

What're You Looking at Me For?

My first lip sync in traditional. We used a new character for this one too.

Fall Semester Final

This was a loooooooooot of work. I did this in a bit under 4 weeks. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out :)

Wendy Walks

Wendy does a treadmill walk. We've been working with the same character all semester, and this was the first assignment where we got to add her clothes and hair and such.

Expression Change

Took me awhile to post this one, but this was a take assignment. We could pick the start emotion and the end emotion.

Lifting a Box

This was an interesting assignment. A model did a sequence of poses and the goal was to draw them in proportion so they would animate when filmed together (we got about 3 minutes to draw each pose). The timing isn't ideal, but I think it turned out to be interesting.

Expression Change

Here's my second animation in Harmony: an expression change. (note to those unfamiliar with Harmony: I didn't actually draw this guy, he was already created for us, I just moved his features around)

Head Turn

This is my first animation from second year: a head turn.

Bowling Ball

This is the first thing I animated in Harmony: a bowling ball.

Weight Struggle

This was my final project for second semester. The main goal of it was to show a struggle with weight.

Fearing what awaits him in the kitchen, the flour sack makes a break for it...

This is my animation of a flour sack falling in from off-screen, bouncing, then looking around. A kitchen seemed like a good choice of setting for it.

Bed Jump Cycle

We were given a rough thumbnail of the layout in class, but we had to design the theme, furniture and add all the details ourselves. I chose to draw a cute room with lots of stuffed animals.

The Ball with Tail joyfully bounces over the water...

The ball with tail reminded me of a cute little animal or something, so I thought I'd put the scene in a nature setting.
